Carrie Zisman, MS, RD

 Carrie Zisman, MS, RD, has almost 14 years of experience in food, nutrition, health and wellness.  Carrie is a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and is an active Board Member with the DC-Metro Area Dietetic Association.  She was honored with the ADA Young Dietitian of the Year Award in 2005.  

Prior to starting a nutrition consulting firm and private practice, Carrie developed nutrition education and communication programs for private, non-profit and government clients.  Most recently, she developed the Keep the Beat healthy eating product line for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) that includes a cookbook, Website and other promotional materials.

Carrie earned a bachelor of science in dietetics from the University of Vermont.  Additionally, she completed a joint dietetic internship at the Frances Stern Nutrition Center of the New England Medical Center at Tufts University and masters of science at the Tufts University School of Nutrition.

Carrie enjoys cooking and eating all types of food (from vegetables to cookies), running, walking, hiking, skiing, and lifting weights.  She lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and their two little ones – a baby girl and Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy.
